Screening of “Buang” at the Malay Heritage Centre

Lecture-Presentation on Buang, the Lost Malay Scientist

Lecture-Presentation on Buang, the Lost Malay Scientist

This Wednesday, 23rd of October 2013 at 7:30pm, I will be giving a presentation to accompany the screening of my film “Buang, the Lost Malay Scientist”, at the Malay Heritage Centre, Singapore.

What kind of microscope did he use? How did he see the scientific enquiry? Was he instrumental in helping Wallace formulate his theory of evolution? How many birds did he catch? How old was he and where did he come from? How did he communicate his findings? Why do we know so little about hime? Where did he live? When did he die and how many descendants does he have?

The film was shot in 2010, and many things have happened since then. If you are curious to know more about Buang, I invite you to come down , watch the film, listen to my presentation, and ask questions.

Details of the project can be found here. The project is on-going.
